Our family of 5 had a fabulous dinner at this little restaurant. We were welcomed in out of the rain by one of the owners to a beautiful, warm and inviting place. This local restaurant is run by the most lovely couple who are super friendly and made us feel like old friends. The food was excellent, delicious pasta and pizza at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this restaurant. We arrived by uber and the owners offered to get us a taxi home.

We loved this spot! The owner was so friendly and asked if we had any questions before ordering. She was the only one working front of house and she was awesome. Everything we ordered was delicious! Clean, great food, excellent service.

the experience was wonderful! the place was empty when we walked in as it was rainy and about the time they opened for dinner (6pm) our server was extremely kind and made pleasant conversation with us. My bf and i had the bacon salad, carbonara and bacon pizza- all were divine and savory! the atmosphere was cozy and warm and we had nothing but nice things to say:)

We felt like a break from Japanese food so were happy to find this little Italian restaurant. The owner who was running the front of house was phenomenal. Her service was amazing and she was so friendly and accommodating. The menu is simple and inexpensive. The food is basic and will appeal to everyone. The menu is especially child friendly. It has great wine options as well as cocktails and beers. We didn’t need to make a booking and we watched several larger family groups come in without a booking and they were seated. If you’re after something other than Japanese for a bit of a change, I would recommend visiting here and supporting such a great business owner and restaurant.

Honestly this place was amazing! Great food and great customer service, run by a beautiful couple that seem to have lots of stories to tell. So welcoming and warm, the BEST carbonara I’ve had in a long time!!! Check them out if you get the chance!!

The service here was the second to none! Definitely the most hospitable restaurant I’ve dined at in over three weeks in Japan. The lady who served us was the kindest and most attentive person I have ever had the privilege to meet. Please consider dining at this wonderful family run restaurant if you value top quality service!

After many days of good Japanese cuisine, my husband and I came to 38 Kawaguchiko for Italian food after reading good reviews of them. They were easy to locate and parking was right outside their restaurant. We arrived just after 2pm and though we were the last customers, the friendly lady in the shop welcomed us and accommodated to our seating preference. The interior of the restaurant was simple and tastefully done with black and white theme. My husband ordered the hamburger steak and I ordered pasta with garlic and bacon. Both of us had the sets that came with a hot bun, soup and salad. The hot bun was really good, like it just came out of the oven. I couldn’t stop eating it. Both of us enjoyed our meals and were glad we chose to come here. We will surely drop by again if we ever come by Kawaguchiko again! Highly recommend

This is a cozy restaurant that serves Italian fare. We arrived at just before 2 pm and was promptly served by a friendly and kind lady. She spoke some English and made conversation with us, asking where we were from. There are 4 selections for lunch. My wife had the pasta with bacon and I had I had hamburger. Both were very good. The meal comes with bread and a soup. The price is also very reasonable. There is ample parking right in front of the restaurant. Highly recommended.
